The next couple of months are choc-a-block with exciting, find<\/a> fun-filled events and activities<\/strong> here in little old Stanford! It\u2019s time to really come out of hibernation, treatment<\/a> shake off the winter cobwebs and enjoy the marvellous sunshine and warmth.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n First up is Heritage Day<\/strong>, cialis<\/a> and its long weekend! Stanford is the third best preserved village in the Western Cape<\/strong>, and we are truly proud of the many traditions and cultures<\/strong> that have shaped our beautiful town. We remember Stanford\u2019s Mathilda May<\/strong><\/a>, a lovely old lady who defied the Group Area Act<\/strong> and become a local legend.<\/strong>\u00a0This month we celebrate every one of Stanford\u2019s diverse communities and invite you to come and spend some time with us.<\/p>\n On Thursday, 24 September<\/strong>, we have our annual Nose to Tail Trail<\/strong>, where you can take your dog for a long walk<\/strong> and stand the chance to win a prize. On Friday, 25 September, the whole family is invited to join us for a Heritage Treasure Hunt<\/strong>. Learn more about Stanford\u2019s history while hunting for treasures using the heritage clues.<\/p>\n The evening of 25 September<\/strong> is a very important date \u2013 the much loved Stanford Sunset Market<\/strong> is back after a winter break. Come join us for good food and award-winning wines<\/strong>, and celebrate all things local, along with live music.<\/strong> The atmosphere and vibe at the Sunset Market is reason enough to come to Stanford for the whole weekend, so book your accommodation now.<\/a><\/p>\n The Viva Arts Festival<\/strong> is back in October. Are you artistic or creative<\/strong>? Why not join the Viva Foundation to paint and create art<\/strong> in the Stanford community. They are painting on different dates in September: 18 and 25,<\/strong> and then on 10 October<\/strong> they are painting and celebrating the art and the wonderful community in Stanford with the Viva Art Street Festival. Come and give the youth hope by painting together.<\/p>\n On the weekend of 2-4 October we have some great activities planned. On 3 October it is the well-known Annual NG Kerk Bazaar,<\/strong> which is accompanied by the NG Kerk Flower Show <\/strong>from 2-5 October. And also, that weekend Picnic Season<\/strong> starts up again! Be sure to join us at Klein River Cheese<\/strong> or one of our other popular picnic spots (see photo at the top). Beloftebos is also starting their monthly Summer Sunday Picnics<\/strong> on 11 October. Relax under the beautiful ancient oaks with live music and delicious treats.<\/p>\n
