An exciting new project has come to Stanford – \u201cDie Bron\u201d Primary School Tree planting project and you can get involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cDie Bron Primary School\u201d in Stanford is planting 100 (and maybe more) indigenous trees <\/em>in the schoolyard.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The schoolyard of Die Bron Primary School is at present somewhat <\/em>bleak, cialis<\/a> mainly devoid of anything and exposed to wind and harsh sun. P<\/em>lanting trees will provide a welcome greening of the children\u2019s <\/em>environment and will provide shade and shelter from wind.<\/em><\/p>\n

It will teach the children to appreciate the beauty of our South <\/em>African nature and their own environmental heritage.<\/em><\/p>\n

It will bring birds and other small wildlife into the schoolyard and <\/em>into the life of the children.<\/em><\/p>\n

The trees will create a soft and green barrier between children <\/em>of different age-groups.<\/em><\/p>\n

The trees will be planted by the children themselves under <\/em>supervision of the school staff and the South African Reforestation <\/em>Trust.<\/em><\/p>\n

The tree planting will be done together with an education project <\/em>about South African trees and forests:<\/em>
\nthe importance of forests for our health and well-being<\/em>
\nthe benefits and functions of forests for the land<\/em>
\nthe uses and specifics of individual tree species<\/em><\/p>\n
